    • Log in to the ACTAtek A4 administration interface.

    • Navigate to Terminal Settings → Remote Syslog Settings.

    • Enable the Syslog option.

    • Enter the Syslog Server IP Address where the Syslog software is installed.

    • Click Submit to apply the changes.

  4. Reboot the Device Restart the ACTAtek A4 device to activate the Syslog service with the new configuration.

  5. Verify Logs Open the Syslog server application (e.g., Kiwi Syslog Service Manager) and confirm that event logs from the ACTAtek device are being received.

Verification Example

  • System Log Output: Shows device events such as authentication attempts, biometric thresholds, and service daemon activity.

  • Kiwi Syslog Manager Output: Displays incoming logs with timestamps, hostnames, and event details (e.g., card authentication, fingerprint quality, push service events).
