Overview

The ACTAtek UHF Long-Range Reader enables vehicle access management and asset tracking at distances of up to 12 meters. Integrated via RS485 with the ACTAtek terminal, it enables seamless multi-factor authentication combining long-range UHF card reading with biometric or PIN verification for maximum security.

ACTAtek Integration

The UHF Reader connects to the ACTAtek terminal via RS485 interface. This setup enables:

Car park access — vehicles trigger gate/barrier when UHF tag is read within range

Installation Notes

  1. Mount the UHF Reader at the entry/exit point, ensuring a clear line of sight to passing vehicles/tags.
  2. Adjust RF power (0–30 dBm) to set the appropriate read range for your lane width.
  3. Connect UHF Reader to the ACTAtek terminal via RS485 cable.
  4. Power the UHF Reader via DC +9V to +15V supply.
  5. Configure UHF reader parameters in ACTAtek device settings.
  6. Test reading range with a sample EPC Gen2 tag before final mounting.
